Pre-Sale Preparations

Here is where our work really begins. We go over every detail of each car with a fine tooth comb. If something can be documented and measured it will be. None of this subjective estimations like about 80% tread wear left. We measure tread wear and let you know if there is any uneven wear and report it.

Paint condition is a sore spot with us. Everyone seems to think their car is perfect or maybe a minor blemish. Paint and body condition can be a very subjective matter. One person's 10 is another's 7.

We would love to say all of our cars are a 10 but that would not be true. Even new cars often have minor flaws that only a trained eye would notice. I don't think there are very many 10's off the showroom floor. It can usually be brought up to a 10 though. If a car is never driven, never touched it can look pretty good, unfortunately this is not the majority of vehicles.

It is our endeavor to document (photograph) every paint flaw that we can find.

Our goal is to make sure when you take delivery of your new car that you do not have any surprises. Everything on the car must function properly before we make it available for you.

We want you to have a new car feeling by replacing common parts that wear out or require service more often. We service every car as if we were going to keep it for our own personal use. We want you to have "piece of mind" knowing that your purchase is going to give you many years of enjoyment.

Out of Province Inspection

All of our cars are imported into Alberta from other provinces or countries so they require an Alberta Provincial Government "Out of Province Inspection" to be done. The car must pass this safety inspection to be able to be registered in Alberta.

The mechanical fitness portion of the OOP Vehicle Inspection involves virtually all vehicle components including fuel and exhaust systems, all electrical, engine controls, powertrain, driveline, steering, suspension, braking systems, wiring and lights, tires, glass, wipers and defrosters.

The vehicle must be maintained within Original Equipment Manufacturers standards or wear tolerances in order to pass the inspection.

Structural integrity inspections establish whether or not the vehicle's frame and/or body exhibit signs of major collision damage and/or repairs. They also examine the vehicle for corrosion in body or frame members.

Pre-Sale Preparations List

Following is a list of all the Pre-Sale Preparation work we do to each vehicle. If additional work is done it will be noted under the details for that individual car.

All applicable fluids are replaced. These include:

  • Engine Oil
  • Transmission Fluid

  • Rear End Oil
  • Power Steering Fluid

Brake fluid is tested for contamination, if it fails it is replaced.

In keeping with our high standards only the best oil and fluids are used. Over the years many oil manufacturers have claimed to have the best synthetic oil. Red Line, Pensoil, Mobil, Castrol and others may produce an acceptable synthetic oil however only one company actually publishes actual industry standard comparison tests.

Amsoil was the first synthetic oil and testing proves that it is by far the best synthetic oil available on the market today. Here is a link to more information:
