1991 Mercedes-Benz 560SEC- Sold!

Are you looking for the last of the Great Ones! It is a rare car indeed; 1991 was the last year that Mercedes-Benz Top Model, the 560SEC was produced. Only 2138 1991 560SEC's were made worldwide. The dark Anthracite Gray exterior with AMG type 18" wheels with body kit and chrome trim around the wheels really make this car a head turner. Finding a 1991 SEC with this low mileage and in good condition is almost impossible and when you do people want an arm and a leg for them.

What sets this car apart from the rest is it is a Euro Version. You get more horsepower and torque. (Read 560 Data in the left hand column). Horizontal Headlight Aiming on the dash is unique. Most 560's have 2 exhaust manifolds connecting to one collector pipe directly behind the motor. This 560SEC has separate dual exhaust going almost to the back of the car.

This is a European Version of the 560SEC. It has a much cleaner, sleek look since the front and rear bumpers are designed the way Mercedes-Benz wanted them. The U.S./Canadian versions were blessed with significantly oversized fat front and rear bumpers in order to meet DOT/TC standards. The Euro version is five inches shorter due to the smaller bumpers.

There are a few unique features this car has that are not always found on North American versions:

• More Powerful Engine (see specs. below) There is a reason why this car is referred to as a "Porsche Hunter" on the Autobahn.

Maintenance History From Japan

• Driver Air Bag was replaced in December of 2000
• Air Conditioning Retrofitted to R134a on July 7, 2000
• New Air Filter
• New Air Breather Filter
• All the above maintenance history was done using Mercedes-Benz Dealer parts which indicates that this vehicle was regularly serviced at the Dealer.

Car and Owner History

This car was originally sold in Japan through Mercedes-Benz of Japan. It is apparent that this car was very well looked after. Based upon its age it was only driven about 2572 km (1598 miles) per year.

This car truly looks like it just drove off the Showroom Floor and would be a welcome addition to any discerning collector of fine Mercedes-Benz Classic Automobiles.

Things to Note:

• The rear headliner is sagging. Note: This is a very common occurrence with these cars, if you are looking at other 560SEC's you should verify its condition.

• There is a scratch on the passenger front quarter panel. (Click here to view)
• There is a thumb size wave in the driver rear quarter panel. It has to be viewed at just the right angle to see it. It is not very noticeable.
