1991 BMW E34 535i 10th Anniversary Special Edition
Sold! The E34 was among the most reliable luxury cars on the market, earning the best-in-class reliability rating from Intellichoice in 1991. It is still considered one of the most reliable BMW's made. It was also one of the safest cars on the road during its production, providing airbags, 4-wheel anti-lock brakes, and a very rigid body structure to protect occupants in the event of an accident. The E34's 60-0 mph (97 to 0 km/h) stopping distance of 130 feet (40 m) was the best of any production sedan in 1990. BMW's M30 straight six cylinder engines had the longest production run of any BMW engine, dating back to the 1968 E3 sedans and E9 coupes. The M30 engine's bottom end is virtually 'bulletproof' and a true workhorse. The M30's timing chain is designed to last the life of the engine. The M30 can routinely run well past 250,000 miles (Over 400,000 km).
I purchased this car for my wife. I had about 75% of the car painted by someone who took first place in their class at the World of Wheels as I wanted all the scratches fixed. You can tell by the pictures that rock chip areas like the front bumper are perfect. Basically most of the car ended up being painted except for the roof and the hood. After I had it painted something discolored and stained a spot on the roof. I touched it up but it is definitely noticeable. Click this picture and then click the picture again to make it really big to see what I am talking about. If you look at the peak of the roof reflection you will see what I mean. All new front and rear bumper trim so there are no scuffs. Since this was to be her vehicle I went the extra mile to make everything right. Well, after a few months she started complaining about not getting 45MPG anymore so she wanted to drive her Integra again. This is now my loss and your gain. Normally I would never put this much detail and work into a car that I was going to sell. I am currently into this car for a break even of over $14,000.00.
